Warehouse Supervisor Logistics in Muscatine, IA

Monday-Friday some possible weekends as needed

7am-3:30 pm

$27.65/hr

We are seeking a warehouse Supervisor in charge of overseeing shipping, receiving, and space utilization in a high-volume warehouse. The supervisor will ensure safety, manage labor for daily operations, coordinate weekend and holiday staffing, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and safety. Responsibilities include supervising forklift operations, maintaining sanitation standards, managing special projects, and supporting warehouse performance strategies.

Qualifications:

• College degree or Minimum two years as a Supervisor in a warehouse setting is required . This prior experience must also include driving a forklift, loading, and unloading freight, as well as inventory management.
• Must demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills as well as effective communication skills with employees and customers.
• Must demonstrate an ability to supervise and motivate employees.
• Forklift operation, loading/unloading, and inventory management skills
• Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Effectively communicate with customer service personnel to determine warehouse workload requirements and assigns labor to meet the schedule demands. This includes scheduling labor for Weekends, and Holiday staffing. 
• Manage special projects utilizing temporary labor and employees as needed. This includes capturing and reporting project costs.
•   Assist Warehouse Manager in developing strategies and actions for the purpose of improving warehouse performance. This may include creating and maintaining reports to monitor progress. 
• Ability to make consistent decisions regarding the acceptance or rejection of trailers for damage or sanitation. 
• Facilitate the forklift safety training program of employees. 
• Oversee forklift preventative maintenance and document maintenance activities. 
• Develop strategies and actions to maximize space utilization. 
• Ensure each Forklift Driver receives necessary training to complete tasks, and that forklift drivers meets the expectations for that position

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, operate a forklift, and perform physical tasks in a warehouse environment (dust, odors, temperature variations)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting with multiple priorities
