Job Summary : We are seeking a detail-oriented Retirement Plan Consultant to join our team. The Retirement Plan Consultant will work closely with employers to design, implement, and administer retirement plans which meet the needs of their employees while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. This position is essential to the core focus of FACTS Inc. It is a full-time, salaried position.
Key Responsibilities :
- Client Consultation: Working closely with clients to understand their retirement plan needs, objectives, and employee demographics.
- Plan Design & Implementation: Collaborating with clients to design 401(k), profit sharing, 403(b), and 457 plans. Overseeing the implementation of new plans and any necessary amendments to existing plans.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring that clients’ plans comply with federal and state regulations, including ERISA, IRS, and DOL rules. Staying current on regulatory changes and advising clients accordingly.
- Ongoing Service: Providing continuous support and guidance to clients regarding retirement plan management, compliance issues, and participant inquiries, fostering long-term relationships. You will be the main point of contact for a specific group of clients.
- Reporting & Testing: Preparing annual plan reviews and performance reports for clients, including participant benefit statements, IRS filings, and employee notices. Testing to ensure clients’ plans comply with all applicable IRS & DOL rules and regulations.
- Partnership with Professional Partners: Collaborating with CPAs, financial advisors, business consultants, etc. to ensure that common clients’ plans are running well and serving their overall business needs.
Qualifications :
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Integrity & accountability.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Time management & multi-tasking are especially important.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software.
- Direct relevant experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
