Augustina's, located in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea, has two renowned boutiques offering designer fashions and exceptional customer service. Established in 1987, these boutiques feature the ultimate in luxury shopping, and have been a must stop for over 37 years in Carmel. The staff is a close group, with a teamwork atmosphere, many of whom have been with the company for 20+ years.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an experienced Luxury Retail Sales Associate and Buyer. Assist with sourcing, selecting, and purchasing clothing, accessories, and jewelry collections for the boutique. Daily tasks include researching trends, maintaining inventory levels, and being a top sales associate. Be part of the sales team to ensure the orders align with customer preferences and market demands, as well as helping to meet top sales goals.

Weekend availability needed. We are looking for individuals with high-end RETAIL SALES EXPERIENCE who have a passion for selling and superior customer service. Designer clothing brands and fine jewelry sales experience, along with a background in buying is preferred.

You'll greet clients by welcoming them in to our boutique and making them feel comfortable, while showing the most exquisite designer brands from all over the world. Daily duties, in addition to selling beautiful clothing and jewelry, include keeping the boutique looking it's best, and opening/closing procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in buying, merchandising, or a related field
• Knowledge of trends, designers, and market dynamics
• Attention to detail and ability to assess product quality
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Basic knowledge of retail math for cash handling and transactions
• Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues
• Proficient in using technology for sales transactions and inventory management
• Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and manage inventory
