About the Role
As a Licensed Insurance Customer Service Representative, you'll handle inbound customer inquiries across multiple communication channels (phone, email, chat, and social media). Your goal? Provide exceptional support to existing members, guiding them through their insurance needs with knowledge, professionalism, and care.
What You'll Do:
Assist customers with insurance-related questions, including quotes, policies, billing, payments, coverage details, underwriting, and premium changes.
Offer solutions based on customer needs—no cold calling required!
Correspond with customers, insurance carriers, and internal teams to provide policy recommendations and coverage information.
Process various service transactions, such as policy endorsements, certificates, binders, and cancellations.
Adhere to quality and performance metrics to ensure excellent service.
Identify life events that may offer opportunities to guide customers toward the best coverage options.
What We're Looking For:
Active Resident Property and Casualty or Personal Lines License (Required)
At least 1 year of customer service experience (Required)
1 year of call center experience (Preferred)
High School diploma or GED (Required)
Strong communication skills with a professional and articulate voice
Ability to maintain customer privacy and handle sensitive information responsibly
Comfortable using the internet and quickly researching information
Tech-savvy—able to troubleshoot minor issues independently
Typing speed of 25 words per minute with 90% accuracy
Ability to multitask across multiple computer applications while assisting customers
Self-motivated, independent worker who can stick to an assigned schedule
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to think critically to solve problems
