Japanese Bilingual Interpreter / Translator (Temp-to-Hire)

Job Summary:
Serve as a Japanese/English interpreter for project discussions between the company and a major automotive manufacturing client
Learn about products and project scope while interpreting to support eventual transition into a Jr. Sales Representative role
Communicate effectively in a professional, culturally aware manner, especially with Japanese business clients
Participate in on-site visits to observe production lines and support solution development
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret Japanese to English and vice versa during meetings and site visits
Support communication between client and internal teams
Travel to customer job sites to observe, interpret, and report project requirements (approx. 30% travel)
Develop foundational knowledge of machinery, project requirements, and sales processes
Requirements:
6+ months of experience working in a professional setting
Fluent in Japanese and English
Willing to travel up to 30%
