Vital Tech Solutions is seeking a IT Construction Project Manager for a top client in the Detroit, MI area. The position is responsible for developing, implementing, managing, designing capital IT construction projects across the health system. Work under general supervision, oversees small to large sized IT construction projects of low to moderate complexity. The principle accountabilities are to assume successful completion of all IT construction projects by overseeing the design, construction, equipment/furnishing, IT and occupancy planning. Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to planning, design, project finance, conceptual estimating and project close out.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develops and manages project scope, schedule and budget for IT construction projects at all system locations.

2. Create and updates required CAD drawings. Interfaces with Facilities, Customers, contractors and IT teams. All documents that are associated with this compliance.

3. Assures compliance with internal policies, procedures, standards of accrediting bodies and government agencies. Develop and implements activities associated with the joint commission, CMS for Environment of Care and Life Safety.

4. Works with supply chain to bid, award and hire architects, contractors and construction managers.

5. Monitors project schedules and budgets.

6. Coordinates with equipment selection and information technology.

7. Collaborates inpatient care areas to create a positive patient experience.

8. Tracks project cost, projections and expenditures.

9. Communicates effectively with leadership and department management during projects.

10.Works across an integrated system by developing strong partnerships

11.Uses analytical and quantitative acumen related to construction.

12.Manages and prioritizes multiple projects.

13.Responsible for assembling project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of project.

14.Responsible for adhering to the PDM, which includes, managing budget, schedules, and tollgate phases.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High School diploma required. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field preferred.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Construction.

• Seven to ten (7-10) years of project management experience required at a minimum; five (5) years of project management experience in a Healthcare setting preferred.

• Experience/exposure to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), certification preferred.

• Knowledge of the following Software Packages is preferred, MS Project, Pro Log, and AutoCAD.

• Experience working with a project management methodology.

• Experience working with delivery assurance principles and appropriate procedures relevant to area.

• Experience working with techniques and approaches related to the architecture, development, integration, and deployment of project phases.

• Experience in IT system implementations and/or system maintenance activities.

• Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment.

• Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
